2010 Spring Registration—Before and After School Programs
Spring Registration for Before and After School Care Programs will be held during the week of May 3rd through May 7th, 2010. Parents will need to get their registration materials from the Site Directors during these days. Most registration areas will be set up where the programs will be held each day. All Parent Handbooks and registration forms must be filled out completely and returned with a $15.00 cash registration fee. You will want to pick up forms, fill them out, and return them after you have read the Parent Handbook policy. Your child will not be able to attend until the Site Director has your child fully registered.
2010 Fall Registration-Before and After School Programs
Fall registration for Before and After School Care Programs will be held Thursday, July 29th and Friday, July 30th between the hours of 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the schools that will offer the programs. At this time, the following schools will have programs in the Fall 2010 school year:
Thelma Barker --Before and After Care
East Elementary - Before and After Care
Nova Elementary - Before and After Care
Malesus Elementary - Before and After Care
Pope Elementary - Before and After Care
Parkview Montessori - After Care
Andrew Jackson - After Care
Bemis Elementary - To be determined (must have a minimum of 20 students)
Alexander Elementary - To be determined (must have a minimum of 20 students)
Lincoln Elementary - To be determined (must have a minimum of 20 students)
South Elementary - To be determined (must have a minimum of 20 students)
Kindergarten students can begin the program August 9, 2010.
Hours/Cost per week per child
6:30 am—8:15 am Before School $ 25.00
3:15—5:30 pm After School $ 25.00

The School-Age Child Care Program serves the parents of the Jackson-Madison County School System by providing a safe haven for children in the before- and after-school hours while parents are working. The staff is comprised of site directors (usually certified teachers) and assistants meeting a 1:20 adult/child ratio. Our programs are comprehensive and responsive to community needs.

School-age child care is available in the elementary schools listed below. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. for the Before School Programs and 3:15 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in the After School Programs.

Those not registered by 6:30 P.M. on Friday, July 30th, 2010, will not be able to attend the School-Age Child Care Program the first week. No more children will be allowed to attend during the week of August 2nd other than the ones registered in the Spring and during the registration schedule mentioned above. This will give us an accurate count of children expected in the program on our start date of August 2nd.
Kindergarten children will start their Before and After School Programs on August 9th.
Registration fees will be accepted during the following weeks. All registration will take place after August 2nd by going directly to the Site Director of the School-Age Child Care Program and filling out the appropriate forms. Registration may not take place in the school office.
All parents must fill out a Registration Form and attach a $15.00 fee (cash) for each child. The registration fee is non-refundable.
All children must have an Application filled out completely (front and back) with a minimum of two local emergency numbers, etc. A health form is also required.
A Parent Handbook must be read completely by both parents. Sign and date your registration form, then return. This must be on file before the child is registered.
