Fully accredited by the Southern Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges, the Jackson-Madison County School System high schools serve a large community. The goal of each school's administration and faculty is to provide every student with an excellent education. Through a wide array of courses, including honors, advanced placement, and vocational-technical, students are offered relevant and significant learning opportunities. The high schools offer numerous programs designed to meet the educational and career needs of all students. By providing a full range of academic, technical and work-experience programs. A secure and supportive learning environment offers a multicultural curriculum comprised of a rich selection of required and elective courses.
Honors courses are offered at all grade levels in English, social studies, mathematics, science, foreign language and fine arts. Advanced placement courses are offered in English, science, social studies and mathematics. In addition, concurrent college dual-enrollment programs are offered. The National Honor Society initiates students who demonstrate scholarship, leadership, character and service.
A full array of extracurricular activities is offered in the areas of student government, journalism, athletics, music, dramatics, and a wide variety of club and programs reflecting students' interests.
Students with special needs are enrolled in adaptive or functional programs specifically designed to serve their individual needs.
