At Pope, our motto is, “Building a better world, one panther at a time.” Our school serves approximately 560 students K-6th. The mission of our school is to provide a safe and caring environment, wherein students can become fluent readers, master challenging subject matter, successfully access information, and solve problems utilizing higher-order thinking skills. Pope School will ensure a safe and caring learning environment to create student success by providing high quality instruction so students will test at proficient or advanced and make one year of growth on state standards.
The history of Pope School dates back to 1909 and has continued to be an integral part of the community. Our dedicated Parent Teacher Organization is an integral part of our success and they work diligently to keep the proud tradition of Pope Panthers alive. The Pope Elementary staff is committed to seeing our students succeed academically and socially. We are proud of the fact that several of our current teachers were students here and have grown up in the community. The tradition of community and family support has allowed us to continue to educate students and ensure that we are all Panther Proud!
