  • Little Miss South Side Pageant and Miss South Side Diamond Pageant

    The Little Miss South Side Pageant will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at 11am. 

    The Miss South Side Diamond Pageant will be held at 3:30pm.

  • South Side's Teacher of the Year

    Congratulations to Katie Lee for being chosen by her peers as South Side High School's Teacher of the Year!

    Katie teaches English and is the Yearbook advisor.  Katie is a wonderful addition to our staff, and works hard for her students while keeping things fun and exciting.  

    The 2018-2019 school year is Katie's 12th year teaching and her 3rd year at South Side.  

    Congratulations Katie Lee!  We are so glad you are a South Side Hawk!

  • Coach Wyatt Named to Madison County Sports Hall of Fame

    Teacher and head baseball coach Jeff Wyatt will be inducted into the Madison County Sports Hall of Fame with the 2019 class.  

    According to the press release by WNWS.com written by Dave Thomas, Jeff Wyatt hit .387 -second all-time- during his four-year baseball career (1999-2002) at Union University.  He tops the list in hits -316- and is the all time leader in hits for a season with 89 in 2002.  He was named NAIA All American in 2002, finished his career at Union with 46 home runs (17 his freshman year), and 249 RBI's.  

    As a student at South Side High Schoool, Wyatt was a three-sport athlete, participating in cross country, golf, and baseball. 

    Congratulations Coach Wyatt on this honor!  

    Coach Wyatt and his children are excited for his upcoming induction into the Madison County Sports Hall of Fame.

  • Earn College Credit for FREE!

    Attention students!  You now have the opportunity to earn college credit for FREE!  The Jackson Madison County School System has partnered with Modern States, an organization that provides resources to prepare students for CLEP (College Level Examination Program).  Any student who passes the CLEP exam will receive college credit for that particular course at participating institutions.

    • Congratulations to Ashlynne Clifft for committing to Freed Hardeman University to play volleyball next year!  Way to go Ashlynne!

    • Basketball season is underway!  Both teams are doing great, and we are so proud!  Check out the South Side basketball teams schedules and come cheer on our Lady Hawks and Hawks!

    • Our athletes will be excited to condition during their off seasons with the new equipment recently installed in our weight room!  Check out photos on the football page.
