  • FREE Job Resources for JMCSS Parents

    Are you interested in finding a new job? Want to go to school or training? Does your resume need updating? Join us at the JMCSS Parent Night at the American Job Center on Tuesday, April 2 to learn more about the FREE services offered by the American Job Center to help you reach your goals! The event will take place from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at 1124 Whitehall Street in Jackson. For more information, call 731-660-8194.

  • Let's Get Ready for Kindergarten!

    Join us for a family workshop to get ready for Kindergarten or Pre-K! The workshop will take place this Thursday, March 21st at Casey Jones Museum. Choose either the 4:00 or 5:00 session. There will be free food, books, and educational information for Pre-K and Kindergarten students and families. Come learn what your child will need to know before they go!

    Welcome to Jackson, Tennessee! Home of Blue Suede Shoes, Rockabilly and great barbecue! Also, Jackson is home to the Jackson-Madison County School System. In 2016, our Jackson-Madison County Schools are home to over 13,000 students that speak over 17 languages from very diverse backgrounds. Our district is home to nine elementary schools, three K-8 schools, four middle schools, three traditional high schools, one magnet high school and one early college high school.

    Additionally, our district is also home to one Pre-K Center for the youngest citizens ages 2-4. Spend time visiting our school websites to see the unique educational offerings each school provides to the students of the Jackson-Madison County area.
