Summer Work-Based Learning Opportunity with LOOP 2.0

  • JMCSS has partnered with West Tennessee Healthcare (WTHC) to offer a summer learning experience as part of the Innovative High School Model. The primary program goal is to reimagine time and space for student learning experiences. In addition to valuable work experience and compensation,  JMCSS students will receive one high school credit for their WBL course upon successful completion.

Currently, placements are offered in Dietary Services or Environmental Services. Students will select which department they wish to interview with, determining their job duties.

Requirements for LOOP 2.0 with West Tennessee Healthcare:

    • Students will need to complete all WBL coursework to receive their credit.
    • Transportation will be the responsibility of the student.
    • Applicants must be at least 17 years old before the start date.
    • Complete the West TN Healthcare employment application (link will be provided if you are selected to advance in the interviewing process).
    • Complete a background check.
    • Complete an employment physical and drug test (blood and/or urine test).
    • Provide 2 letters of recommendation.
    • Provide 2 acceptable forms of I.D.

Additional information will be provided to students who are selected for an interview. Students will be notified of their invitation to interview for a L.O.O.P. 2.0 West Tennessee Healthcare placement via their school email address.
