Competitive eSports Team
-
Founded in 2021, the JASA rockets were the first school in Madison County to compete in eSports. Having an exceptional inaugural season, the JASA Rockets qualified for the Electronic Gaming Federation's (EGF) National Championship in Orlando, FL for the Rocket League division.
In addition to their gaming skills, JMCSS eSports athletes are expected to maintain their GPA while developing their skills in teamwork, communication, goal-setting, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, strategic skill development, and perseverance. JMCSS eSports athletes can also qualify for collegiate scholarships.
Esports teams are currently at Rose Hill, Northeast, JCT, JASA, JCM-MS, Malesus, and West Bemis. Teams compete in local JMCSS in-person tournaments and remote matches with EGF (Electronic Gaming Federation - either EGFY (middle school) or EGFH (high school) and USAEL (US Academic Esports League).
If you are interested in learning more about the JMCSS Esports Program, please contact Ms. Rachael Clark (rtclark@jmcss.org).
