CTE Project-Based Learning (PBL) Resources

  • Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, the Tennessee Department of Education will add STEM and Project-Based Learning (PBL) to current CCTE course standards/competencies. This will allow our students to have an enhanced learning experience that is grounded in core academic content while applying the skills they have acquired in a particular CCTE Program of Study.

PBL instruction also allows our schools to partner with community organizations to ensure that the projects students work on are authentic and aligned with industry needs. JMCSS is grateful to our local industry partners and CCTE advisory board members for their continued support.
