Institute of STEM & Digital Entrepreneurship at JASA
Preparing Students for the Jobs of Tomorrow
JASA's STEM & Digital Entrepreneurship Institute created a competitive eSports team and gaming arena for students. The school's Rocket League team is currently nationally ranked and has been invited to compete at the National Championship in Orlando, FL. Plans for the 2022-23 academic year include high school coursework in video game development, computer programming, and eSports management.
In addition, JASA is home to the district's first educator with a drone pilot's license. This allows students the option to learn how to build and fly drones in preparation to the growing industry of drone-applied technology. This summer, JASA will offer a Summer Institute Flight School program to rising 9th - 11th grade students.
