School counseling programs at Lincoln Elementary School play an important role in the educational process for our scholars.  Mrs. Burns works with scholars, families, communities, faculties and staff to address social, emotional and educational concerns experienced by children.  She helps scholars develop skills of communication and understand themselves and others during classroom and small group discussions.  Her counseling helps scholars develop skills for thinking and problem solving problems, set positive goals, exercise self-responsibility and improve academic progress, as well as, providing support during personal crisis.
