The Assessment & Accountability office manages all data and research for the district, including student attendance and assessment data. The goal of Assessment & Accountability is to support school and district leadership in using data to make informed decisions to improve educational outcomes. Staff work closely with school attendance secretaries to manage PowerSchool, the district’s student information system, to ensure that student attendance and demographic information are kept up to date. They also supervise testing in the district, including state assessments (TCAP, TNReady) and benchmark testing through AIMSweb.
