The Special Education (SPED) department works to design and implement a plan to ensure effective strategies for closing the achievement gap for students with disabilities and promoting a safe, positive learning environment. They work collaboratively with the district curriculum team to promote a systemic approach to improve teaching and learning for all students. The SPED team includes Consulting Teachers, Diagnosticians, and Psychologists who work in a variety of ways to promote instruction and assessment that is appropriate for every student.
