• How do I know if JASA is a good fit for my student?

There are many great schools to choose from in the Jackson-Madison County School System. Each family that chooses JASA does so because they have unique needs and JASA is a flexible, "out-of-the-box" option to help their child succeed. Needs range from families that travel often for work, homeschoolers that might be meeting barriers because of cost or increasing difficulty in curriculum, students that play competitive sports and travel, medically fragile family members, special educational needs, social anxiety, or work schedules for high school students. Whatever your need is, we encourage you to come by and talk with a member of our staff for more information.

We understand that not every student does their best learning in a traditional classroom sitting at a desk all day. JASA allows families to create an environment that is best for their student to learn.

Do JASA students have to take TNReady?

During your time as a JASA "ROCKET", you will be required to come into our building for multiple benchmarks, state accountability tests, academic intervention (as needed).  JASA follows all state policies and procedures as it applies to mandatory state testing. Students come to the building three times a year for benchmark testing in order to familiarize themselves with the process and become comfortable in the required testing setting.

How will I know what to do and where to go on my computer?

Prior to admittance, parents and students are required to attend an orientation to learn how to navigate the Learning Management System, discuss attendance and communication requirements, and engage in the academic accountability sessions.
