Mrs. Tracey H. Vowell

Tracey Vowell is a native of Jackson, Tennessee.  She attended public schools at J.B. Young Elementary, South Side Junior High and graduated from South Side High School in 1989.  Tracey attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and Lambuth University.  Upon graduation from Lambuth University in 1993, Tracey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English.  Tracey earned a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from The University of Memphis.  She is a graduate of the National Institute of School Leaders and has plans to continue to further her studies at the doctoral level.

 

Mrs. Vowell started her professional career at Haywood Junior High in Brownsville, Tennessee.  She taught Algebra I, Pre-Algebra, Math and coached cheerleading. In the fall of 1996, she joined the JMCSS family as a teacher and cheerleading coach at Northeast Middle School. Mrs. Vowell moved to an administrative leadership position in the fall of 2002.   She has worked as principal in JMCSS for over 20 years.

 

Mrs. Vowell is married to Tab Vowell, who serves as a teacher and football coach. They have three children: Jake, Chase and Lauren.
