Malesus STEM Innovation Center
The Malesus STEM Innovation Center embodies a dynamic school-within-a-school model, seamlessly blending science, technology, engineering, and math standards through the innovative frameworks of design thinking and problem-solving. This immersive and authentic learning environment empowers students to engage deeply with real-world challenges, fostering creativity and critical thinking skills essential for their future success.
Students will have the chance to immerse themselves in hands-on learning for approximately half of their school day at the Malesus STEM Innovation Center, where they will participate in Math, Science, and Career Technical Education (CTE) STEM elective classes that provide an enriching cross-curricular approach centered on inquiry-based teaching strategies. Meanwhile, students will continue their enrollment at their home middle school, where they will take the remainder of their classes, such as English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Physical Education. Breakfast and lunch will be served at their enrolled middle school.
For added convenience, transportation will be provided to and from the Malesus STEM Innovation Center for most students. However, families of JASA students will need to make arrangements for their own transportation to and from the center.
Registration Requirements: Any student enrolled in a JMCSS middle school can apply to attend the Malesus STEM Innovation Center.

Morning Session: 8:15am-10:35am
Schools: JCMM, JCT, CMS, JASA, Pope School
Buses depart at 7:55 and arrive back at 10:50
Afternoon Session: 11:35am-1:45pm
Schools: NPMS, NEMS, WBMS, RHS
Buses depart at 11:15 and arrive back at 2:05
