The Jackson-Madison County School System is committed to offering STEM and computer science (CS) opportunities to all of our students.
Thanks to partnerships with organizations such as TSIN (Tennessee STEM Innovation Network), the West TN STEM Hub, REC Foundation, GreenpowerUSA, Electronic Gaming Federation (EGF), and Code.org, JMCSS faculty and students have access to instructional resources, professional learning opportunities, competitive STEM / CS events, and so much more!

Congratulations to Rose Hill School for earning the prestigious Tennessee STEM School Designation from the TN Department of Education!
Additional JMCSS STEM accomplishments include JCM Middle School, JASA, and Community Montessori School's robotics team advancing to the 2025 Tennessee VEX IQ State Championship. South Side High School and Rose Hill School received a $5,000 STEM Grant from TVA this year.
Greenpower USA middle school teams from Community Montessori, Rose Hill, North Parkway, Northeast, Malesus STEM, and JASA raced the electric cars they built at the 2024 F24 Greenpower National Championship at the Talladega Superspeedway. Congratulations to the Malesus STEM and JASA High School teams for placing first in their Greenpower divisions at Talladega.

Our JASA Rockets eSports team received an invitation to compete in the 2024 and 2025 EGF National Championship in Orlando, FL. We are excited to see JMCSS administrators and teachers expand learning opportunities for our students!
