Tennessee STEM Innovation Network (TSIN)

TSIN works to promote and expand the teaching and learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education in K-12 schools across Tennessee. U of M Lambuth STEM Lending Library

The University of Memphis Lambuth Library is a part of the West Tennessee STEM Hub Lending Library. The Lending Library has many resources for local educators. Teachers may register for a free Community Special Privilege card to check out STEM kits and books.

STEM Design Challenge

All Tennessee students are eligible to participate in the Statewide Design Challenge! Students collaborate to solve a problem affecting their community by utilizing the engineering design process. Find out about the latest challenge by visiting the webpage.

STEM Classroom Grants

The TVA STEM Classroom Grant Program, sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Authority in partnership with Bicentennial Volunteers Incorporated (BVI, a TVA retiree organization), is designed to fund STEM learning projects in classrooms and schools in the TVA service area.

Elevate TN

Elevate TN seeks to create a pipeline of skilled workers in Tennessee. The statewide web portal is available for any educator that serves grades 8 - 12 in any subject area, including CTE programs of study. This portal provides students with job-shadowing and internship experiences, career exploration, and resume-building activities developed around local employer needs. Students can earn industry-recognized badges for their resumes while building skills that will support CCTE industry credentials.

Define Careers

Defined Careers™ is a project-based solution that allows students in grades 6-12 to explore and experience careers.

It includes a career assessment that guides students toward real-world projects across recommended career pathways. Defined Careers empowers educators to provide all students with equitable access to careers.

REC Foundation (VEX Robotics)

The REC Foundation’s VEX family of robotics programs for elementary school through college students includes 1.1 million students in 70 countries. These engaging programs offer a direct response to workforce and industry needs, with participants more likely to consider studying science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) beyond high school. JMCSS teachers may utilize VEX robotics and drones in the classroom and/or as extracurricular student competitive opportunities.
