JMCSS App Now Available for Download
JACKSON, Tenn. – Getting updates and information from the Jackson-Madison County School System is getting even easier. The district has launched a new app that will make engaging with the district and its schools even more convenient for families and community members.
The free app is available for Apple and Android devices through the App Store and Google Play by searching “JMCSS.” During set up of the app, users can choose to follow specific schools to receive information from each campus as well as the district. The app also utilizes push alerts that will allow parents to get urgent notifications in a new way.
“We hope by delivering information right to our families’ smartphones and tablets, we can increase communication and encourage participation in the learning process by everyone,” said Dr. Eric Jones, JMCSS superintendent. “That includes our community members and area businesses who might be looking for ways to get involved or volunteer at our schools.”
Along with urgent notifications and the latest news, the app provides a calendar, directory, school zoning details, and direct links to PowerSchool and Online Payments. Users can also find answers to frequently asked questions, resources, board policies and meeting dates, and school menus. JMCSS graduates can even request a transcript through the app.
Users are encouraged to provide feedback through the app’s “Like our app?” link. This will help JMCSS as it works to expand the options within the app in the future.
