SSHS Theatre Presents The Canterville Ghost
The South Side Theatre department is ecstatic to return to the stage after a year's pause to present The Canterville Ghost.
This was the show to be presented in the spring of 2020, only to be canceled days before opening night.
Student Chyler Lee describes the show--
" A family from Nashville attempts to make a smooth transition to life in the UK and are faced with the many inconveniences of living in a 500-year-old house. The walls are crumbling, the roof is falling in, and they have... a small spirit problem. What ensues is a wacky adventure of adjusting to life with a ghost roommate. The horror/comedy will have you jumping out of your seat and falling back into your seat from laughter. This story by Oscar Wilde and adapted by director Leeana Cargile will be performed by kids in Jackson that you might know. Come see this fantastic play performed in the South Side theatre."
Directors Leeanna Cargile and Leah Wilmouth, are excited to welcome back a few students from the class of 2020 to participate as they lost the opportunity to participate in their senior show last year, as well as many of our very talented students.
Show dates are --
