JMCSS mourns the loss of a district leader

Tiffani Harris, JMCSS Educator JACKSON, TN – Jackson Madison County Schools is saddened to learn about the loss of a member of our district family. Tiffani Harris was a dedicated educator who believed in the students, teachers, and community members that she served. Her impact on education in JMCSS will be felt for years to come.


Harris passed away overnight Thursday, February 28th. She was married for almost five years to Vincent Harris and they share a four-year-old daughter, Karter.


“I had the privilege of working with Tiffani for several years,” said Dr. Eric Jones. “She was a dedicated educator and valuable member of our community. She will be greatly missed.”


Harris joined JMCSS in 2001 as a math teacher and served the district for 16 years as a teacher, math coach, assistant principal, and consulting teacher.


Counselors from across the district will be on campus at Liberty, Monday, and will be available to students and staff for as long as they are needed.
