JMCSS Launches New System for Online Student Payments

 

JACKSON, TN – Jackson-Madison County School System is introducing a new way for parents to pay for before and after care, field trips, yearbooks, athletic fees, and more.  School Cash Online will be used in all JMCSS schools as the preferred payment method for all student fees beginning on Monday, November 25th.

To begin using the system, parents may set up their own individual account at https://jmcss.schoolcashonline.com. Parents can create accounts beginning today and will be able to add their students later this week. Payments can be made by eCheck and Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard). School Cash Online integrates with PowerSchool to allow parents and guardians easy access to make payments related to any of their children, regardless of what school they attend. Additionally, this system gives parents and guardians the option to be notified by email regarding items that are available to purchase for their children, which will improve school to home communication.

 

The School Nutrition Department will continue to use a separate system, MySchoolBucks, for cafeteria payments.

 

“School cash online offers tremendous benefits to parents, staff and students,” says Jackson-Madison County School System’s Director of Fiscal Services, Holly Kellar. “Online payments are more secure and streamlined than handling cash, which allows us to increase our fiscal responsibility.”
