Mr. Ryan Kirkbride

Greetings Andrew Jackson Parents, Community, Faculty and Staff,

My name is Ryan Kirkbride, and it is my pleasure to serve as your principal for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. This year marks my twenty-third year in education. Of those twenty- three years, all but one has been with the Jackson-Madison County School System. While working in JMCSS, I have served over ten years as a classroom teacher, two years as an instructional coach, two years as an assistant principal, three years as a principal, and 4 years as the district’s instructional leadership director. I am excited about being back in the role of a principal in a building where I believe the most important work takes place, educating our students and supporting those responsible for their education.

I am a 1995 graduate of Henderson County High School located in Henderson, KY. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies in grades 1st – 8th from Union University (1999). After spending nearly ten years in the classroom, I began to pursue my overall goal of leading a building of my own by obtaining my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Bethel University (2011).

While serving in previous leadership roles, it was always my goal to create a safe and supportive environment for my students, parents, community members, faculty, and staff. It is my opinion that this can be accomplished by adhering to my three “P’s” which are to always be Positive in our interactions with one another, to be Punctual with all that we are tasked to do, and to always be Present, or engaged, during the learning process. Adhering to my three “P’s” creates a positive school environment which, in return, can lead to positive results for our students. I look forward to sharing more about my three “P’s” in the near future.

My wife, Amanda, is a product of the Jackson-Madison County School. She is also a teacher in our system where she has served as a kindergarten teacher at Pope School for over twenty years. I have two children, Alex (12th grade) and Eliza (9th grade). My goal for your children is the same for mine. I want them all to be successful in all that they do. I will treat your children the same as I do mine, with love and respect, and hold them to the same high expectations.

I’m looking forward to a successful year at Andrew Jackson Elementary School!

Sincerely,

Ryan Kirkbride
