LaDonna Braswell

LaDonna Braswell is currently the principal of Lincoln Elementary School, which is home to scholars of excellence. She has been in education for over 10 years. Ms. Braswell received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She earned her Master’s Degree from Union University and Education Specialist Degree from Walden University. She has worked in various capacities from an elementary teacher, instructional facilitator, PLC Coach, resident principal, and district-level coach all of which were in Shelby County. Ms. Braswell came to Jackson Madison County Schools in 2015 as the assistant principal of Pope Elementary and now principal of Lincoln Elementary. Her positive attitude and love of colleagues, parents, scholars and community are reflected in the outstanding quality of the programs that she has maintained as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. Ms. Braswell believes in all children and their ability to grow and become whatever they set their minds and hearts toward. She is a servant leader who believes she was spiritually appointed to education to give all children that cross her path 3 seeds: a seed of hope, a seed of love, and a seed of integrity. Ms. Braswell is dedicated to instilling perseverance in every scholar and creating a positive learning environment that naturally molds high achievers.

Ms. Braswell is a very visible instructional leader and states the best part of her job is seeing smiling faces and receiving sweet hugs from her scholars. Ms. Braswell’s motto is “You can do anything if you stay focused on your goals.”
