Annie Atkins, Ed.S.

Annie Atkins is the proud principal of Lincoln Elementary School.  She comes with 22 years of experience in the field of education.  At the beginning of her career, she served as a special education teacher with the Hardeman County School System.  Mrs. Atkins has also served as a professional school counselor and consultant teacher at Lincoln Elementary.  After her tenure at Lincoln Elementary, Mrs. Atkins transitioned to Isaac Lane Elementary as an assistant principal. Then, her journey led her to Liberty Tech High School, where she served as an assistant principal and athletic director.  

Mrs. Atkins has served at all school levels (elementary, middle, and high). Her time in education has provided her with valuable experience and elevated her goal to effectively serve scholars, families, faculty, staff, administrators, and community stakeholders.

Mrs. Atkins attended Park University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine; her Master of Arts in Education from Bethel University; her Professional School Counselor and Educational Specialist focused on Administration and Supervision from Freed Hardeman University.

She is a wife and mother of four children.  Mrs. Atkins believes in building relationships with all stakeholders to ensure student readiness.  She believes that all children should have the gift of learning.  In the principal role, Mrs. Atkins is dedicating herself to prioritizing the best interests of all stakeholders.  She is excited about working with Lincoln Elementary's outstanding scholars, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.
