The mission of South Side High School's Student Services Department is to implement a proactive, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate school counseling program which addresses students' academic and career goals in addition to supporting their personal and social needs. This is accomplished through a collaboration with parents/guardians, faculty and staff, and community stakeholders to empower all students to become successful and productive citizens who are lifelong learners in a diverse and changing world.

Our vision is that the Student Services Department will empower all students to reach their highest potential by benefitting from a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, personal/social, and career goals.
