  • The Jackson-Madison County School System ("District") is committed to complying with the provisions of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)("Title II") and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 ("Section 504"). Therefore, the District's goal with regard to its web presence is to provide students, parents and members of the public with disabilities the ability to independently acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same benefits and services as those without disabilities, with equivalent ease of use.

     

    With regard to the District's website or any web presence developed, maintained, or offered through District sources, it is intended that all existing content and any new or updated web content produced by the District or provided by third-party developers will confirm to the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA, and the WAI's Accessibility Guidelines Suite (WAI-ARIA) 1.0 for web content or updated equivalents of these guidelines.

      

    About Portable Document Format (PDF) Files

    While the District is unable to provide alternate text or HTML versions for all of the documents that appear on the website in PDF format, it will, upon request, work with any individual with a disability to provide web documents in an alternative format.
